The author

We're as healthy as we eat!

Dr. Weiß was trained at the Diabetes Clinic Bad Oeynhausen and in cardiology and oncology at the Hannover Medical School. Study visits at the University of Helsinki Genetic Institute and at the National Tumor Center in Milan followed. In 1982, he described dexamethasone as the most effective remedy for vomiting during chemotherapy and thus enabled the treatment of millions of cancer patients worldwide. In the noughties, Dr. Weiss treated “more than twice as many” cancer patients as the average of Bavarian oncologists. In 2018, he took over the management of the Department of Oncology and Gastroenterology at the Bayerwaldklinik, which was included in the focus list of the best rehabilitation clinics a year later. Since reaching retirement age, Dr. Weiss has been involved in the treatment of drug addicts at MVZ Dr. Boniakowski in Regensburg. His broad professional experience enabled Dr. Weiss to obtain fundamentally new insights into the connection between cancer, addiction and chronic diseases such as diabetes and nutrition.

background

We ask the author personally why he wrote the “Revolution on a Plate”:

“The topic of nutrition is neglected in studies and medical training. And you won't disagree with me: The worst food is in the hospital. But during my work in the diabetes clinic, in cardiology and especially in oncology, I realized that proper nutrition is the key to health. With around 30 rules, all chronic diseases can be avoided. Even whether you eat breakfast or not has an influence on your weight and well-being. Drinking a glass of warm water regularly before the main meal helps you lose weight, but it also protects against a heart attack. I have compiled and analysed all the knowledge from specialist literature and incorporated it into a concept that I”Next Generation Diet“I called. This nutrition concept upsets everything that the media and conventional medicine spread about nutrition. I didn't come up with these tips; they can all be scientifically justified and proven. ”

Readers Voices
When I started reading “The Revolution on the Plate” by Dr. Johann Weiss, I had reached the lowest point in my health. Every day I struggled with exhaustion and persistent stomach problems. After numerous doctor visits and medications that did not bring any improvement, I decided to look for alternative solutions.
The book opened the door for me to a new understanding of the power of nutrition.
I realized that my eating habits were affecting my health and began to implement the advice from the book. I learned how certain foods affected my symptoms and how I could support my body through targeted diet changes. Over time, my condition improved. The constant exhaustion and tiredness subsided, and my stomach problems became less frequent. It was as if I had finally regained control of my health. We often believe that we eat healthily, but supposedly 'healthy' foods often conceal the opposite. This book is a relentless mirror that shows us the unvarnished truth about our diet and helps me make more conscious decisions and actively take my health into my own hands.

The book contains the following chapters:

Ch.1: What makes you sick...

In the first chapter, you will learn how diseases that are common in our Western civilization are due to our diet. The author explains to you the role of addictive mechanisms that are characteristic of our “modern diet.” Get the principle of nutritional dissociation explained to you and learn everything about “hormones for losing weight.”

Ch.2: What does cancer do?

Did you know that cancer is a result of our diet? Groundbreaking and thanks to the author is the insight that “cancer of abundance” can be distinguished from a “cancer of deficiency.” Nutrition makes the difference. Learn that industrially processed food causes tissue inflammation similar to smoking and leads to obesity, diabetes, premature aging, heart attacks and cancer.

Ch.3: Can health be improved?

Find out what is really healthy. Based on a logical basis, the doctor explains when a dietary supplement is useful. Find out which foods contain the necessary vitamins, minerals and important secondary plant substances. Learn more about the importance of sport for health.

Ch.4: Alternatives to the revolution on a plate?

Read about the peculiarities and dangers of advertised diets such as low carb, vegan, paleo and intermittent fasting and find out what's really behind them.

Ch.5: What can we learn from centenarians?

In addition to evaluating over 2,000 scientific publications on nutrition, the lifestyle of centenarians is one of the main topics of this book. Learn what centenarians in Crete and Okinawa, Japan, for example, have in common and what you should adopt for your life.

Ch.6: Comparing nutritional concepts

Meat-based diet (low carb), plant-based diet (low fat) and the Mediterranean diet (with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids) are compared in their composition and effects on health.

Ch.7: Zero risk!

Based on study results, the essential characteristics of a healthy diet are compared with the risks of disease-causing food.

Ch.8: The Next Generation Diet

Read in detail about the benefits of the recommended plant-based diet and its ingredients. Find out everything you need to know about fiber, microbiota, sugar and starch, protein, good fats and bad fats, and the effects on your body.

Ch.9: Dietary supplement (supplementation)

The following is detailed information on the benefits and dangers of dietary supplements with vitamin B12, iron, iodine, vitamin D3, omega-3 fatty acids and over seventeen other important micronutrients.

Ch.10: How do I tell my doctor?

Find out which laboratory tests and other tests are necessary to monitor your health. The author explains which symptoms indicate nutritional deficiencies. With this knowledge, you can prevent illnesses yourself.

Ch.11: Principles of Healthy Eating and Living

The last third of the book deals with specific behaviors that contribute to your health. Learn all the tricks to lose weight and read how dangerous sweeteners and fructose syrup really are. Find out how you can reduce the risks of working at night.

Ch.12: What you'll be spared with the Next Generation Diet
